well the consoles in the kr, lariat, and fx4 have shifters in them (these are the only console trucks i believe) youre looking at a lot of work to change over to the floor shifter or fiberglass work if you plan on covering up the hole from the shifter. then if you change the shifter looking to delete it from your column? more work there as well.

It's very easy. All you have to do is remove the 4 bolts from your jumpseat and then disconnect the rear power point. Once it's out you simply reconnect the rear power point on the new console and bolt it back in place.

Sorry, should have specified, looking at one WITHOUT the shifter like that comes in xlt's for example.

Yea i hear ya, thats why i dont want this thing. I dont understand why they dont have that and the storage area.. cant be that much more money.. i dont use the seat so without that nice lid like i had in my 05, its useless and in the way. I didnt realize till after i bought it that it had no cup holders and no lid. The seat was up and i just assumed it was no different then before..

can we just order the arm rest section from tasca with the lid and cup holder and bolt them to our current jump seats?? I'd rather have that, the xlt consoles are freaking huger and cheapo lookin.
