I took my first road trip with the new truck last week. I noticed that the high beams really don't throw lot of additional light out front. The main effect when I turn them on is that I get a lot of light thrown out to the sides of the road...but downrange I get very little increase in light.

I just sold a 2009 Silverado and the stock high beams on that thing rocked.

I've looked at a few upgrade kits but I really don't need $900 worth of high beams. Does anyone know of a sub $100 fix for this?
