Good price????

Was looking at buying a new FX4 that has most of the options including leather, moonroof, Sony Nav, etc. The MSRP is $44790 and the dealer has given me a price of $40,758. Any thoughts on the price? Has anyone paid under $40,000 for a truck like this? The current incentives/rebates will also bring it down another $4,500 or so. Thanks!

That's about right. That's approx $8500 off MSRP total and that is about what I did with mine.

If that would be the case, i would tell him to

I think 10k off at this point is not unheard of or unreasonable at all

I've been doing a lot of research on this. The difference between sticker and invoice is between 4 and 5k. You can go to KBB.com and price the truck out. By typing in all your options you can get the exact (or damn close) invoice of the truck. Start your negotiation there minus rebates. You can get at least $4500 in rebates, closer to $6k if you are financing. Then you have dealer hold back and that inventory roll over expense if it's in the last week of the month. There's also a dealer incentive if the truck has been on the lot for less than 30 days but I don't know the details of that.

So adding all that up you should be able to get at least $10k off sticker. When I finally negotiate mine, I'm going for $10k off sticker out the door minimum. Hopefully $1k or $2k better than that depending on how expensive a truck I can afford. Obviously the more options, the bigger the spread between MSRP and Invoice.

That Ecoboost V-6 is the only new engine that has been confirmed for 2011 so far... (in non-Raptor F150s anyway...)

Is that price including TT&L? I got my dealer to meet what I wanted to pay out the door, all said and done including TT&L, extended warranty, bed liner, free oil changes (3), coffee mugs and of course all the options I wanted.
