Question SYNC Question

Okay. I like the SYNC system on my truck (okay, when they fix the mic it will be better), but I would like to have my iPhone plugged in to the cord and play music over the USB, but use the phone over the SYNC bluetooth.

What the problem is, I cannot use the controls (forward/reverse/etc...) when the music is playing over SYNC.

Any thoughts?

Your phone is on bluetooth all the time if you have it synced, When you have your phone plugged in simply hit your voice command and say "USB" If you try to play music over bluetooth you won't have any controls.

Ditch the BT audio, do the USB2 mod, and get a cheap USB flash drive.

you use your steering wheel controls in order to shuffle the music back and forth as well as to change artisits. not your iphone or mp3 player controls.

I have an older Ipod, so I think I'm going to do the USB2 MOD and put the older Ipod in there. I just dont want to have to convert all my music over on to a flash drive. Unless it will play in the itunes format????

I would start on it, but my truck is still at the dealer waiting for the new SYNC microphone to show up. It's been there for 3 days now, and if it's not here tomorrow, I think I am going to pick up the truck and tell them to call me.... errgh!
