Angry 2010 fx4 blinker problem!!

Quick run down of my situation..
Bought my 10 Supercrew fx4 last month. Let's just say that around my neck of the woods these trucks are stolen a lot. Two days later after purchase take truck to get alarm n remote start installed.**Sigh**. Anyways a full week and a half goes by with no problems. Then all of a sudden blinkers start goin crazy.
First left side blinkers were the only ones that work. Then right side only, then neither worked!! I would turn off truck n would turn on again a bit later like to go to the store n all would work fine then half way to the store they would not work again. So I checked fuse inside cabin, it was fine. Brake lights n hazards work fine n quarters work when arming/disarming alarm.
So take to dealership to see what's up n get told to give em two hours to ck out. Hour later get called that it's ready n that the problem is the aftermarket alarm. I state my case on how everything was fine for more than a week.. Blah blah.told to take back to alarm place. Fingerpointing starts. Now back at dealership for two straight days n being told it might b the junction box..WTF?! Still doing tests as I write this down.. Any input. Thanxs

My money says the aftermarket alarm. This isn't a fuse problem it's a short problem. Shorts are a ROYAL pain in the **** to run down but that my friend is what you have. My guess is that the splice work preformed by the alarm installer wasn't perfect by a large margin..

Agreed 100%. The alarm installer did not do something right. Either a loose connection or a short somewhere.

Update***

So got called back today in the afternoon.. Turns out junction box is being ordered n will get here Friday n wiring will b put back together.
I didn't get to mention in prior post that I spent a day at the alarm place also in which they double checked all wiring going off the 2010 wiring schematic.. Checked for shorts n no luck also.

Hopefully Friday brings me good luck n I can enjoy my new truck again.

if there was a short, it would blow the fuse. if the fuse was bad, the signals would not work at all. your problem is with the aftermarket alarm. get a second opinion at another shop. i betcha they find something with the alarm install.

.. Thanxs for the advice will take it to another shop to see if they find something with the wiring once I get my truck back.
About the fuse.. Fuse 6 or 7 which is the signal/stop lamp fuse was ok. it would have blown if there was a short, right?? N I still had working stop lights.
we will see in a couple of days. I hope it gets fixed.

Just remember all this started after you got your aftermarket alarm. Also a short will not always cause a fuse to blow. If it is a momentary short it may not last long enough for the fuse to blow. Some fuses are slow blow fuses. I'm not sure if that is what we have in our trucks, but there are those types out there. Now it is possible a short could have damaged the "junction box", if that is the case it will most likely do the same thing to the new "junction box". I would definitely take it to another shop and have them look at the wiring, and when they find the bad wiring I would have them take pictures of it and document where it was and take the evidence back to the original installer and make them pay for any expenses you have had to pay as a result of their shoddy work.
