2011 F250 6.2L = 14mpg!!!

I bet your F150s are not much better than this, no? 14.8 Hwy and 14.1 city. I am very happy with this considering that my 08' 5.4L f250 showed 8 mpg on avg. With the new tranny and 6.2L this thing is probably close to being as quick as the F150, I would guess. And, the stock sound is cool. The best part is the quickness at low-end rpms b/w 1000-2000 and 2000-3000. The 6.2L in a F150 with the new tranny would be soooo sweeeeeet!

Watch the video of the new 6.2L in the Superduty on YouTube. I'll see if I can find it. It is talked about on FTE. There is no 5.4L F-150 that will hold a candle to the 6.2L, and the Super weighs a heck of a lot more than and F-150. The 6.2L hits 40mph like THAT. And, it souds fantastic.

14 isn't bad for a truck that size. On the highway, I get an honest 17mpg with my crew cab 4x4 f-150 with the 5.4 (driving around 80mph). Mixed city/highway I average 14-15 (and I have a heavy foot...love hearing that magnaflow roar...lol).

What rear gears do you have ommegang? I've seen a few posts on different boards where guys are actually getting better MPG with 4:30's than the guys with 3:73's.

I wanted a superduty before i ended up going with my fx4 screw (even planed on making my license plat say SPR DUKY), just couldnt justify the diesel since i dont really tow, and when i test drove it with the 5.4L on a crew cab it was too slugish. Guess i should have waited but the 6.2L hasnt been tried and tested like the 5.4L has. Im interested to see what the 150's will get with the 6.2L and how much more the can haul and how much faster they are.

How many miles are on that sucker? I know the Mod motors are notorious for starting "tight" and as they loosed up after a couple thousand miles, mileage gets much better... The best may be yet to come in that 6.2!
