Sport Trac! LOL!!! yeh, maybe that's more his size vehicle, but boy, I really hate that thing. I think Ford is discontinuing that thing soon, anyways. We can certainly hope. Better to go with an Explorer- or an Edge, which is new for 2011 and I believe even has MyFord Touch.
Damn I had a '97. Thank God I didn't get in a crash. I leased that thing the first month they were out. Got a while xtra cab 4x4 Step Side. That was a radical new design and I got so many compliments on that truck. the lease deals at that time were insane too. No money down and $255 a month on a 3yr leas. Oh the Good ole' days!

That Sport track looks Horrrrrrible. I will never buy a small pickup again. I know it's stupid but I feel like a wuss that sold out in Rangers heh...

The Sport Trac looks decent in the Adrenaline trim, IMO.

I hear ya on the '97 comments. I've had all 3 past models when they first came out, and neither my '04 or '09 got anywhere near the amount of compliments as my 1997 did. Sure got a lot of attention!

That's only because it replaced a decades old squared off design.

Nothing wrong with the Sport Trac. If I was in the market for that kind of vehicle, I would take the Sport Trac over the Avalanche hands down.

Sorry CometFlash, gotta side with Stealth on this one. The '97 F150 was the first fresh idea in truck design from Ford in over 30 years. that's why you got all those compliments. Just like when Dodge came out with the "big rig" look for the Ram back in 1994. That's all everybody I knew would talk about.

trade it in on a a midsize on be done with it. I for one bought my full size and never think it too big and slow....want the 6.2 when it comes out and will get it and put a 4" lift on it. Trucks esp full size are meant to be big ...the new f150 is the best truck I have owned ....

Yep I wanted a full size rig so I got one. The GMC is tiny inside and I wouldn't buy a dodge or a toyota. Ford trucks are the best anyway so the decision was simple. So very happy with mine! So ya, go get a dudge dakota "club cab" and let us know how that works out for ya :-)

New guy here, sold my Dodge Dakota CC last week for a new f150 supercab, works much better for me. I'm not a big guy and don't find the size to be a big deal.

I'm 6'7". I wouldn't mind if they made the truck bigger.

Only the front partial offset test was poor. Full front, side, etc were all very good. And the 2001-2003 Supercrews were better in the offset than the REg and Scabs.

Anyway, I had a 99 Scab 4x4 5.4L 3.73. That thing was great. Loved that truck. My 2003 Screw with same drivetrain never felt the same as even the old Scab with an extra 500 pounds in the bed. Now a 2009 Screw will weigh more like 1000 pounds more than a 99 Scab. That and maybe gearing (did you get 3.15 axle ratio in the new truck?) may be the culprit.

Silly thing though is that you get more head room and leg room in a F150 Super Crew vs a F250 Crew cab. :o

Not sure about the head room, our SD has a ton of it, but very true on the leg room! It would be really sweet if Ford would do a redesign on the SD and make the cab more like the F150 Screw. As it stands now I think Dodge actually has the largest regular crew cab in a HD truck, not counting the Mega Cab. It used to be Ford hands down.

I only noticed when I got my truck in for service that I hopped in a Super Duty and thought, "this feels smaller." But the height is pretty much the same...

From Ford's page-
F150 Height 41.0/40.3 (front/rear)
FSuperDuty 40.7"

F150 Legs 41.4/43.5 (front/rear)
FSuperDuty 41.1"

I agree. I had a 98 XLT Scab Off Road and my 2010 is much more responsive, easier to drive and no where near the body flex my 98 had. As for the size, get a Ranger if you want a smaller truck. Me, I like the size
just as it is. I traded my 98 2 yrs ago for a Jeep Wrangler Sahara and
regretted it the next day but they'd already sold my 98. Sold it less than
an hour after I signed on the dotted line. I see the guy that bought it now
and then and he loves it as much as I did and is caring for it like I did.
With that said, I still like my 2010 FX4 more and everything my 98 5.4 was,
this FX4 is more and better.
That's how I feel about it.
