Go into "Manage Connections" on the BB - delete the "Sync" paired Bluetooth device.

Go to "Phone" in the truck - delete the BB from the phone listing.

Then reboot (battery pull) the BB. Then re-sync.

Is a battery pull really gonna fix my mic problem, when everything else with the sync feature is working correctly?

My phone is a BB Tour, and other spouses phone is Motorola rokr. both work with sync except for mic. no one hears my voice at all when I am in the truck.

If it doesn't work with either phone, that tells me either your Sync mic is bad or the Sync itself has a problem. Should be a warranty issue.

It's not the mic. If it was none of the other Sync commands would work.

Actually I havn't tried any voice commands at all, just did phone on touchscreen, except for pushing phone button on steering wheel to answer and hang up phone.

I will try and see if any voice commands work.

Color me stupid. I incorrectly assumed you had confirmed Sync responds to commands.

Assuming Sync responds to other commands, it sounds like your Sync module is bad.
Yes, all other features work, I can dial out etc.

Voice sync commands doesn't work at all. So, I take it the problem is the Mic.

Will this be covered by the Ford ESP warranty?

It's covered by the bumper-to-bumper warranty.

The ESP coverage would be 1) dependent on the ESP plan and 2) a good question for your dealer. I'd like to hear their answer.

Don't believe we have any bumper to bumper, as the truck has 39,000 miles. We do have the Ford ESP PremiumCARE. I have flyer that says what it doesn't cover and I don't see anything about Navigation/sync system. So, am hoping its covered.

Looks like it is covered - http://www.fordwarranty.com/premium.html though we were never told about any deductible and it says used vehicles can only get 48 months/48,000 miles? We were quoted for 6 years/100,000 miles.

hmmm...

Just found our extended service plan papers, and the dealerships marked our warranty as new with $0 deductible. mileage is 39,000, so that wouldn't be new. He does have the 84months/100,000 miles under "other plans".

I made account through fordvehicles.com and the esp premium care warranty isn't listed. shouldn't it be listed?
