Talking Picked Her Up Yesterday

Well Gang, I Picked her up yesterday. I absolutely love this truck already! It's a 2010 F-150 Lariat Scab 5.4 3V 6 spd. The only Options I ordered were the 20's, Lariat package, Captions Chairs, and a Sony Premium Sound System. I must admit I was thinking of putting Cat-backs on her but it really seems to run just fine the way she is. Plus with the way the stereo sounds right now, I'd be afraid to F it up with louder pipes.

I've read a lot of opinions about this sound system, both pro and con. If this system does not put a big smile on your face, I would have to say you are very particular and somewhat hard to please. Don't get me wrong, you could probably improve on anything, but in this case why bother. I will order the ARE Tonneau cover next week, and probably tint the driver and passenger windows to match the rear windows. Other than that I'm just going to drive it.

Over all, I'm very impressed with everything about this truck. I did have some difficulties with setting the Sync and figuring out some of the settings. But otherwise it's been a piece of cake. About the ride, I'm not really a truck guy yet. I did notice that while going over larger bumps in the road, the truck almost seems to have an after wave. It's hard to explain or describe. It's not a bad thing and might just be a side effect of a long wheelbase with a stiff suspension with no load in it. I think the ride and interior sound level is outstanding.

It was definitely worth the wait, I love it!!

Bob

Nice truck... get rid of the Pirellis and get something a bit meatier and your ride should get smoother. the 20's reduce the amount of sidewall your tires have, so it will ride stiffer than say, 18's.

Sharp looking ride! Give it a few weeks to get used to the way trucks ride. They definitely have a different feel than a car but you will get used to it and then it will not feel any different. I have never had a truck with the 20 inch rims but I have known several people who have and they have swapped out the Pirelli's for something a little better and they claimed the ride got better. Enjoy your new ride and try to keep that silly grin off of your face!

Congrats. Nice Truck! And I agree with you on the Sony Premium sound system. I think it is awesome also. Can't understand why anyone would want to try and improve it.
