Question Seatbelt Woes

Is anyone else having trouble with the front seatbelts in these trucks? My wife can't even reach the parking brake release lever with her seatbelt on. I have had the belts in both seats lock up while reaching for something nearby (not at the same time). Of course then I have to completely disconnect the belt before it stops ratcheting. My first thought was that something was wrong with the belt, but they are both doing it.

mine do the same thing. It is a PITA for sure. But I only wear mine when on long trips or out on the highway. I turned my chime off so I dont have to listen to that damn thing and cruise around town w/o it.

I hear you, this is a pain sometimes. When it locks and does not let me move say forward, I just jerk forward two or three times (a pain) and they release and give free movement, no need to disconnect.

Not to bash anyone, but why on earth would you drive around in today's world with no seatbelt? In town is actually the most dangerous place, as most accidents are at intersections.

But on topic, every Ford truck I've owned has done this. It is a PITA, but not near as much of a PITA as going through the dash and/or windshield.

I haven't noticed mine giving my trouble. But I usually finish with the moving around and just use it while driving. I did disable the belt minder, that feature is #2 why I continue to buy Fords I undo my belt when landing the trailer or other tasks that require a lot of movement. They have been comfy and not restricting when driving and using radio controls reaching for coffee etc..
