So lets get the E locker bypass solved

I plan on either modifying the factory 4wd switch or adding my own so I can engage the locker in 2wd. As for why, because I want to that's why. I am sure I can find a use for it. I know Ford engineers limits it to 25mph and 4wd use only, but what fun is that...

Surely I could run a switched 12 volts and tap into the positive coil wire running into the E locker.

I wonder if the 4wd switch could be modified to pull out in 2wd?

A few years back we would take the headlight switches apart on our F150's and dremel the plastic cam down inside them that kept the fog feature from pulling out until the headlights were on. Then jumped a wire so we could turn the fogs lights on and off with the parking lights.

I have no idea how the locker is engaged but I would imagine you're going to have to run your own switch. It could be as easy as that or it could be something more complicated, maybe the actuator (?) can only be controlled by some chip that has to talk to another chip to tell it if the truck is in 4WD. I'm probably reading too much into it but I doubt it's going to be as trivial as monkeying with your headlight switch.

If you do get to engage the locker in 2wd, you're probably gonna want to disable TSC too... Fun factor engage! I too would like the option on rear locked in 2wd. I like to do some wheeling on old fire breaks and logging roads, and it's more fun in 2wd, but an open diff is just poor class. There is always the raptor... Just wish it were offered in SCREW...

Okay, so the Raptor locks the diff in 2wd, may those guys should sue Ford, lol... I have one mother and that is plenty, lol...

Maybe the Raptor has a different 4wd switch that pops out in 2wd? Is it as easy as buying the Raptor 4wd switch?

The raptor has an entirely different 4x4/locker/TSC function than an F-150. It has several switches with multiple positions... Kinda confusing, but cool as hell none the less.

This tread might be dead, but I'm still on board with making the elocker work in 2wd. Has anyone gotten any further with this idea? L8 Apex had the idea about the raptor switch that go shot down so what about this idea, the 2011 f250 4x4 selector **** look the same as ours and it engages in 2wd I beleive, could it be that simple?

I already tried the Raptor switch in my truck. I still have the switch if anyone would like to mess with it and figure something out.

All you're missing to make it work in 2wd is the tccm (transfer case control module).
