Thumbs down not to happy right now...

so i dropped off my truck yesterday to have my 3rd brake light fixed do to water leak & the headliner was replaced do to the leak also... im annoyed because i went in last thursday & told them, they ordered the parts & said they would be here by tuesday (yesterday). it is now wednesday & they still aren't done with it. the truck sat at the dealer all day untouched yesterday & today they put the headliner in but they didn't get the brake light fix yet & the truck is gunna sit outside, so if it rains tonight it stains again, so im out of a vehicle for another couple days if it rains again basically! so i dropped it off tuesday not gunna be done til thursday night supposedly.. thats 3 days with out the truck! & i was told it would take a couple hours, HA! i can't afford being 3 days without the truck, i gotta work! sorry if im b*tching, i just needed to vent & figured why not here..

x2 I was told by my dealer, as long as it is within 12 months/12,000 miles you could get a loaner. Check with your dealer.

over a reasonable amount of time you should complain until the provide you with one. Dont think they will offer it for free.

Rentals are a dealer decision, because Ford doesn't cover rentals.

If its the 3rd brake light it easy to fix, replace the light an make sure it seals. If it still leaks then it could be the glass or holes in the seams...I work at a dealer so they might of replaced the light and still got water in the truck. Now they gotta look eles were..

ford will only cover rental if you have the extra warranty or you are in tight with the service mgr.

It still sound like you are getting the run around. Complain loudly.

My dealer told me "Ford provides for a rental as long as you are within the first 12 months or 12k miles. After that it is up to the dealer".

Find a new dealer. If a reasonable conversation with the service mgr (or the GM) doesn't work, you have no choice but to get it fixed elsewhere. Once you aggrevate them you are toast.
