Gear shift change out?

I have a 2010 lariat that has the woodgrain on the gearshift, I would prefer a leather gearshift. Does anyone know if you can change this out? Does the woodgrain snap off or do you have to switch out the whole gearshift.

The woodgrain on mine started to delaminate so I had the dealer replace it. They replaced the entire shifter, not just the wood. So I assume it is an all or nothing deal.

Would this work?? Look down through the posts and there is a video showing the leather shifter handle. "Ranch it out" is a member on here and hand makes them.
