I have not upgraded yet. Although I am a tech teacher. i will also not bash Apples products nor any others that others may like. That was a very childish statement made about the Apple. products. Anyway, when I pick the truck up tomorrow, I will post as many details for others as possible. hope this helped at least 1 other person.

Good to know, Just checked the version of my Ipod and I should be good to go. As for the other issues its not something I like to hear while I wait for my new truck to be built.

I tried my Ipod touch tonight. It has about 500 songs and worked great. I also burned all those MP3s to a thumb drive and it works exactly the same as the ipod. So I'll go that route. If it gets stolen or lost no biggie. Ipod can stay at home.

P.S. This truck is awesome. I'm totally geeking out over it. Makes my SLT feel like a work truck.

How did you go about "burning" to a thumb drive? I take it you just did a straight file copy from your iTunes library to your thumb drive?

When you say it works exactly like the iPod, do you mean playlists, cover art, etc.

Most likely just storage but Sync "sees it" as a hard drive and just plays the songs as though they are in a executable server. (meaning it sees it just as it does an Ipod or other Mp3 player). I may go that route also. Small, black, discreet and no cable. yup, sounds like the better route. Newegg.com, and buydig.com have 16gig flash drives for 19.95. At least they did last week. 8 of my students bought them. i should have also!

Is it the phone that you love, or the way it makes you feel when people see you using it?

Would not know, I use a Blackberry. Hence the title "IPOD" not "IPHONE", big difference.

That's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. I won't ever buy any of their overpriced, useless, proprietary crap. I guess you will overlook the fact that their device causes problems with other hardware. That's not Apple's problem anyway, right?

Yeah, I have a Blackberry too. I live on a lake, and the AT&T service is terrible here, so Verizon it is.

Exactly. Just dragged the files from itunes library to memory stick. I guess that's why the playlists are the same as the ipod.

For those arguing apple vs "oranges"... I'll take the Apple everytime. Love my Macs, Ipods etc.

I have 75 Imacs and 30 PCs in my lab. which do you think my students all prefer to use? Including the other classes that use my lab, but they cannot sign on to a Mac due to them not being in the IT program. 98% want to use the Mac.
