Sorry if this has been asked before, but what the hell did Ford do to the brakes in these trucks for 2010? I've driven an F150 of every model year from 2000 and on, and the 2010s have the stiffest brakes Ive ever had in an f150. It reminds me of both a car, and silverados. Being used to a softer brake in f150s when Im driving a 2010 at work ill hit the brake lightly and it practically throws me forward.
Anyone else notice this?

I have an 09 and don't notice that so much but they increased the size of the rotors/pads for the '10. So, you're complaining about a superior brake setup.
Just ease into the brake a little more. I know driving a new vehicle if the brakes are touchy, I tend to experience the same thing for a while. I just have to adjust my braking style.

I detailed a Maxima for a guy I work with and was delivering the car in the fall. I know the feeling... It's a good thing in a sense, but dangerous if you are not used to it. Def caught me off guard a few times with how quickly it stopped.
Wow. I can't wait to try these out.
Upgraded brakes: The only notable engineering change for the 2010 F-150 is an overhauled brake system. It includes new rotors that are 6 percent larger than last year's rotors, plus new front calipers, master cylinder, brake booster and linings. Grueber said F-150 drivers should see improved brake feel, reduced stopping distance and reduced brake dust thanks to the upgrades.

I bet its because of the inferior brakes you are used to in that Nissan
No I really hadnt heard of this before but I think Ford did a good thing as I upgraded to powerslots and Hawk Pads on my 04 to stop quicker.
