Opinions, FX4 Silver Ingot 6.5 Screw with

Chrome edition lariat grill or non- chrome edition? I have an opportunity for either one. I need to see some photos if possible. I know someone did some photoshop work but i need some closer detailed images to decide. thanks to all.

I don't have pictures or anything but IMO I don't think the chrome lariat grill would suit the FX4 truck. Especially if it has the grey 2 tone and the factory fender flares. I like the PTM grill surround of the FX4's and I would trade my chrome grill for a Blue Flame FX4 grill in a second.

Fx4

For the FX4 look at replacing your center section with a Carriage Works Black power coated billet grill. You will still have your PTM surrond with the custom center. There is also a lower grille to match.

Do not put Lariat or XLT chrome grilles on a FX4. Thank you.

having just the inner part chrome on the FX4 wouldn't look that bad, but I agree the entire chrome grille is a bit much. (well the Platinum is similar with painted bumpers too but Platinum also has other chrome stuff to go along with entire chrome theme)

Certain 04-08 FX4's looked sweet with a polished billet replacement grille and matching bumper grille. 09-10 FX4's could look great too with billet replacements but I think the lower polished/chrome bumper grilles don't look that great on our 09-10 trucks because of those big black plastic bumper guards take away from the overall look.

Here's a couple of various "custom" factory grille setups I'd like to see someone try on their truck (FX4 or whatever):

1. either a chrome XLT 3-bar or XLT chrome pkg 6-bar, leave the inner bars chrome but paint the outer surround piece to match the truck
2. paint to match the black inner 3-bars on the FX4 grille (just like the old 08 FX4 Luxury Pkg used to have a PTM h-bar grille)
3. paint black or dark grey the inner 6-bars on the FX2 grille and paint the surround to match the truck (basically how it already comes on the FX2 truck)
4. paint the entire 6-bar FX2 grille to match the truck

Depending on what truck model you have, which color, and what theme/color of your other modifications, one of those 4 "custom" grille setups might look pretty sweet!

I am buying a 2009 lariat grill w/o chrome surround. I will be leaving the silver around it and then am going to black out the silver grill behind the chrome.

Have you seen the other posting on this thread of the black FX4 with the Lariat grill? Looks hot! Now I think I really AM going to put a Lariat grill on my FX4...

I wish they would have offered chrome bumpers on the FX4 as well... Not only for looks but off road, painted bumpers chip easier. If not, then offer a locker on other trim levels.
