Ummm....what? Where did a Toyota car come into play? Was that some lame attempt at calling me 'gay' because I want a sportier truck?!? Come on, man...this site is for helping people with similar truck interests, not taking every opportunity to bash them. If you don't have any useful information, keep quiet. I don't bash others that may find a SuperCrew 6.5' useful...I have a friend with a 5.5', and we make plenty use of it...be it lumber or furniture moving. I'm in Canada, where trucks can be used for other things, too...such as pulling boats, snowmobile trailers, campers, your buddy's fat girlfriend, etc. This is my taste, and this is what I'm going to keep looking for. I love the look of the Photchop, by the way!!

Okay, someone suggested it, so I did it. I wrote to Ford Canada regarding this issue. This is what I have received back:

"Dear Sir,

Thank you for contacting the Ford of Canada Customer Relationship Centre. We received your message sent on 3/8/2010
regarding your interest in purchasing a Ford F-150 Supercab with a five and a half foot box.

Sir, we appreciate you interest in the wonderfully popular and versatile Ford F-150. As per our resources the 2010 Ford F-150 Super Cab is available with a 5.5 ft. box, only on the 'XL' and the 'XLT' with the 'Mid Box Prep Package', option 55M.

If you have any other inquiries or concerns, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to address them.

Thank you for contacting Ford of Canada.

Sincerely,
Jennifer
Ford of Canada
Customer Relationship Centre"

Now, can someone distinguish between the XLT and Lariat and FX4 for me?? Also, does anyone know what a "Mid Box Prep Package" is??

Okay, nevermind...did a little research, and apparently Ford Customer Service has completely missed the point of my search for a 'sportier' look. Here's what a 'MidBox Prep Package' look like. Thanks, Ford...LOL.

dubs, Ford is not going to retool their factories and assembly lines for you. They made the decision a long time ago to go in another direction (scabs are strictly 6.5' unless as some part of a 'work truck' pkg or trim level). As others have stated, start searching the pre-owned lots for '09 Scab's w/ the 5.5' bed or cars.com, autotrader.com, etc would also be a good place to start.
I personally think it is a pretty cool look and if Ford had never built a SuperCrew, I would buy one...

I wonder why they don't offer this in the 2009 or '10? Does anyone know anything about this? This is the only thing holding me back. I want a Super Cab, but I don't want a 6 1/2' box. Come on, Ford!

PS - I know the 'Raptor' has this combination, but I'm not a fan of the Raptor. I want an FX4 or Lariat...

Sorry to hear they discontinued it. I had the same issue and ordered one with the 5.5 bed. I like the short wheelbase and the look. I am working in LA and the shorter wheelbase makes a world of difference when parking around here. I was going to order a raptor but it is too wide for this city as most everything is for compact parking or narrow at best.

It hauls everything I need to haul just fine, is very usable, and very happy with the choice. Good luck on your search and your final decision.

I just looked at all my papers and it says 66 inch bed. 66 inches is 5 1/2 feet if I'm not mistaken. I drive an '09 FX4 S Crew

Wow, I see that there are intelligent Ford drivers, and others...not so much. Is this even English? What does being a child have to do with any of this? People like yourself should not be allowed to post in public forums...again: back to my "Let's not let retards post replies" topic/rebuttal. Please don't waste your time posting anything next time, bud.

With regards to the "Ford is not going to re-tool their plants for you"...who ever said anything about asking them to do so? I simply posted this topic to gain knowledge into the availability. I have learned since that it is available...just not anymore. And I have accepted that. Thanks to those who have posted intelligent, helpful information.
