Don't pass up on the 1 yr/12k mile freebies
Just a heads up or fyi:
Taken from Ford's 2009 Warranty Guide:
Where a vehicle has no factory-related defect, and is therefore not
entitled to a warranty related repair, replacement or adjustment, it is
Ford policy nonetheless to provide certain maintenance items, when
necessary, free of charge during a limited period:
• wiper blade replacements will be provided during the first 12 months
in service, regardless of miles driven
• wheel alignments and tire balancing (unless required by a warranty
repair) will be provided during the first 12 months or 12,000 miles in
service, whichever occurs first
• Brake pad/lining replacements will be provided during the first
12 months or 18,000 miles in service, whichever occurs first

Understand that while I'm taking time doing your "freebie" alignment, I could be working on someone else's vehicle that has a legitimate concern, trying to get them back on the road as quickly as possible.
Get your alignment or wiper blades or whatever if you really need them. If not, don't waste the dealer's time please.

In my experience the more its exposed the greater your chance of somthing getting messed up. You take it in for a "free" repair, when nothings wrong. but after they are done with it. you could end up witha a real problem. its a long shot but seen it happen. If it isnt broken dont fix it. and espically dont let any one else fix it..imo

I do all service at the dealer. In 2003 I took in my new Toyota Sequoia with 2700 miles in for its first service. It got hit while on the rack by another car. And I am the guy who won't valet!!!
