Trailer Tow Mirrors

Getting ready to order my new truck. I am looking at adding the trailer tow mirrors. It would appear from what I have read that these mirrors do not have the drivers side auto dimming feature.

Is anyone able to confirm this?

Thanks in advance.

They do not have auto dimming. In all honesty, I wouldn't want it.

I have one vehicle with auto dimming side mirror (driver's side only, WTF?) and it is nice, just like the electrochromatic inside rearview mirror. but I'd take the Max tow package mirrors any day if you plan to tow a trailer over 5' wide. Much nicer than any strap on accessory.

Auto dimming feature is standard on the Lariat with regular mirrors, but it is not a part of the trailer tow telescoping mirror option.

I'm with APT above, I'll take the telsecoping mirrors without auto-dimming over the standard mirrors with. Both the telescoping feature and the lower convex mirror are great aids when I'm towing the horse trailer.

They are a great aid anytime. When backing up, for blind spots, etc. I do not tow anymore, but put the tow mirrors on. Takes a little while to get used to the size, but worth it.

And the max tow package includes some other great stuff, like 500 pounds more GVWR and integrated trailer brake controller.

Thanks for all the responses. I will be getting the trailer tow mirrors and max tow package as here in Canada the mirrors are not in the package.

I did drive the my truck at night for the first time today. Like was previously said no auto dimming feature but backing up, changing lanes or trailer towing you cannot beat them. The ground light seems to be a nice feature so you can see where you are stepping when you get out of the truck in the dark.
