No more flareside?

Sorry if this was in another thread but I didn't see it. I've been looking around the Ford site and was "building my own" and noticed there doesn't seem to be a flareside available in 2010. I'm guessing they have been declining in popularity so they stopped making them. I'm partial to the flaresides myself, makes mine standout in a crowd. Anyone but me going to miss them?

Yeah I'm going to miss them, I think it makes a truck especially good looking. The blue flame on your truck and the flareside bed really makes it pop! I believe ford was the last to make flareside bed trucks. 2005 or 2006 was the last for a Ranger and 2009 was the last for an F-150. It's kinda funny that one of my local dealers got 3 STX Reg. Cab 4x2 Flaresides for their first arrivals when the 09s came out.

That Blue Flame was the deciding factor, I saw it and had to have it. I get more comments on the color than any other vehicle I've owned.

That's too bad...the flareside is the only way I'd want the current body style. Our local dealership had an 09 flareside reg cab stx - that was probably my favorite of the new bodies that i've seen

I have a tuxedo black with brilliant silver bottom, flareside crew cab XLT 4X4, and I love the look of of it with the flareside box. I was not thrilled with the look of the fleetside taillights anyway, so I opted for the flareside.

I hardly ever see any around my area, so I guess they are kind of rare.

I have a 2009 FX4 flairside.. black on top of silver.. I was told by dealership that it was one of the last flairsides built. This was July 2009. I believe its one of 3 in my province up here in New Brunswick Canada. I love it btw

Yours probably looks similar to mine, then.

I like(d) the looks of the flaresides, but I like the functionality of the full bed better... I also thought the flaresides looked best on regular cabs.

If funtionality was my main concern I would have deffinately gotten the styleside. Mine is basically a commuter vehicle, hardly ever put things in the bed but it's nice to have around if I do need to haul something. By the way my round trip commute is 116 miles a day. I must be nuts using an F150 for that

I really dont see how its appealing. I mean i dont mind how they used to be on the lightning with the one lil step right behind the cab and it flared back to normal. But all the way back like that makes the truck look weird. The bodylines are way off like that and it makes the truck look smaller and unproportioned.

Not trying to start anything just wondering what yal see in it to like it so much.

I really only like it on the reg cab...kinda gives it a little more character; not so bland. But on any other cab choice I'm not as big of a fan...especially on supercrews :o

I guess it's the old "each to his own" philosiphy. Which is why I prefer supercabs to 4 door crewcabs. In my eye they don't look right. I know they are more funtional, try load groceries in the back of my SCAB when cars are parked next to it. I end up backing it out of the spot and then loading it, but I just don't like the way they look. That's not to say that there aren't any I don't like. There are a bunch of them on this site.
