Very nice Platinum. Is that stubby antenna stock? If you don't mind, what was MSRP on that bad boy?

The antenna is not stock I got it Autozone for $10.00. I have been using them for years and I can't tell any differance in performance. After the stock one wacks the carport roof a enough times they become loose and need tighting again so thats why its on there.

The MSPR was $50,190.00. There was $4,000.00 in rebates from Ford and I had a $500 Quarter horse rebate and the dealer was $300.00 over invoice so that put me at $41,008.00 before taxes

Very sharp looking truck, love the color. I put a shorty antenna on my previous SCrew due to it loosening regularly from hitting the garage door as well.

This truck has a 36 gallon tank on it and the first time I filled it up I ask for fuel prices from the travel link and it showed 4 stations with in 2 miles of my location one was 12 cents a gallon cheaper than the other 3 so thats where I went. I put 33 gallons in it which is about a 4 dollars savings. I was a little worried about the nav system being a $2300 toy that I would never use after the first couple of weeks not having used one before. But I believe now since using the system that the nav coupled with the Sirius Travel link will be a useful tool.
Good lookin Platinum man!!

DBader....Hmmm Northeast Louisianna....Hmmm. Around Bastrop maybe??

I work for GeoShack in Jonesboro. You and I have talked several times on the phone and I even met you one day. I'm about to post pics of my new truck on a new thread. 2010 Lariat.

So how's the millimeter system working? I'm about to go meet Jamie in Cleveland for a little farm show.

Very nice Platinum. My next one will be the Platinum if they can get the payloads up there. Nice color choice there - 'course I'm partial. I have the stainless panels for the rockers sitting in my garage waiting for warmer weather to install them. I'm hoping it dresses my Lariat up a bit like the chrome bumper strip does on the Platinum. Enjoy!

Very nice....I really, really, really like the Platinum and wish I would have purchased one myself (oops...I did)...no bias of course

Now be sure and go vote in the "Which Model Did you buy" poll so we can get those Plat numbers back up there!!

Nice, post pics when your done! That was the only thing they did right on those Mark LT's. I was surprised Ford didn't do the chrome rockers on the Platinum's when they showed the first pics.

^I think those chrome rockers are a bit too much chrome. also I know somone with a Mark LT and his chrome rockers kept peeling and falling off, replaced several times under warranty...

Can anyone that has looked closely at the Lariats and Platinums tell me if the leather dash mat and console covers are the same color between the 2 trim levels? It looks like in the pictures of the platinum interior that the gear shift has leather cover where as mine is the fake woodgrain in the Lariat. Leather on the shift **** would be nice if what I see in the pictures are correct.
