Here are some pictures of the completed install. Please pardon the ugly indoor/outdoor carpet I've got in the bed right now. I'm hoping to replace it with a BedRug in the spring if we can afford it.

I took johnwill's suggestion () and flipped the tie down over instead of removing it completely. I may never need/use it but if I do, it's there.

I've some booster cables, basic tools and survival gear like matches, candles, etc. in the case right now. It's nice to have that stuff off the back floor of the cab. Although I do still have a lighter, matches and a few small candles in the center console, just in case. It's below zero here today with about -20F wind chill so you never know when you'll need this stuff.

Nice! You'll have some cutting to do on the Bedrug.

You're welcome. It's nice to be able to give back to the forum for once.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the Swing Case. A few of them have the movable tray removed. Another poster mentioned that you can get the case re-keyed to be the same as the Undercover but I can't remember who said that. I may look into doing that myself.

What type of cover did you put on the truck to get this for free and regarding the fresh holes drilled in the bed I always use a product called por15 and it is amazing. If you want some bare metal protected this is the stuff.I painted the frame on my 78-F150 with it and it is hard as nails.

Thanks for the pics. Wanting to put a cover over the bed, but still need a toolbox for storage (tow strap, jumper cables, tiedowns, extra fluids, etc.) wondered if i'd have enough room.

I bought an Undercover SE tonneau cover and received the Swing Case for free via a mail in form available on their web site.

Too much $$ for PLASTIC!

I do like the usefullness of the swing case, but i find they are far too expensive for a PLASTIC case. Come on now. This thing should be priced between $75 and $100.

I have already started my plans on fabicating my own with a final case material made out of fiberglass. At least mine will go from the bed egde to the wheen well hump.
