Thumbs up

GIR the better you are repaired you are the better deal you will get and NEGOTIATE you dictate what you want to pay and never make a deal based on a payment also have your financing taken care of before go in there and if you have good credit you are in the drivers seat. when i bought my truck i took the extra 1000.00 rebate from ford motor credit and refinanced with my credit union and if they tell ya that you have to finance Thu fmc for for x amount of months ignore it as you can finance the next day if you want too they will tell that b.s. glad to hear you are coming back from overseas i work at edwards afb on f-16s good luck

I would look for one on a lot, there are plenty. You should get 12-15% off with rebates for a total of 8-12 grand off. I was looking at an FX4 for 43k with invoice pricing and rebates it was about 34k. I would also look at the backup camera and the Sony sound system. I prefer 3:73 gears and the FX4 locker. MSRP minus rebates is not a good deal, there is another 3-4 grand in the sticker price you need to get.

get invoice price, then get all the rebates/incentives from the manufacture.

They are still making 3% holdback off you and 1.25% if they are a blue oval certified dealer.

document fees should be no higher than $75.

jetech, I had bad luck trying the CostCo member purchasing program...they were only able to get me a 5% discount and I ended up getting a much better deal by negotiating the purchase myself. My thoughts are that CostCo is good for folks who don't want to negotiate with a dealer - but you (at least in my case) will pay substantially more. No offense implied - just sharing my experience with the CostCo Member program - you may have had great luck with them

I am. I used the calculator and was impressed especially with the trend info. However, I have a hunch and what the others are hinting at this may be underachieving the deal that I could get for the current market. It's bascially the same as the AAFES one but without pricing guarantees.

Unfortunately without lots of phone calls AAFES is my only source of info and I need to be comparison shopping just as I would if I was in the states.

Gir - didn't receive anything from you Shoot me a PM if you are still interested in talking with my friend.

I just bought a 2010 FX4 loaded minus some of the smaller bed accessories through www.encs.com I saved 18% off retail. I looked into getting the extra $500 off for the student incentive bit it required using Ford Financing. I forget Ford's borrowing rate but it was a lot higher than the 5.18% I got through USAA. When comparing the price to USAA's buyers plan they couldn't beat ENCS. I also went with ENCS because the entire sale was completed over the internet and email and it was very easy. I am currently still on deployment but due to return just before Christmas. I didn't want to have to haggle over price of a truck when I got back especially when I learned about the sales tax tax deduction currently good through the end of the year. If time permits I will pick up my truck the day after I get back. Merry Christmas to me! I probably could have saved more if I wanted to spend the time and effort haggling with the dealers when I got back but I wanted to get home and pick up my new truck stress free and take it easy. The one thing I did not want to do is get home and "work" trying to find the "best" deal I could find.
