Magnaflow 16518 SiSo

Well, after spending most of the afternoon looking for a deal I think I finally got one. I ended getting a new Magnaflow SiSo kit for $406 shipped. I feel pretty good since most people I talked to wouldn't go below $479. I originally wanted the single rear side exit, then pondered the dual rear exit (but everyone has that ), and ended up with the single rear side exit.

Will post pictures when I get it installed, hopefully it goes on alright, not everyone (including Magnaflow) advertises them as the 2010 kits, but after some reading on here, I am sure I will make it work just fine.

Nice! Like was said in the other magnaflow thread, you will probably have to remove the heat shield from the spare tire to get it to fit a 2010, but that is very simple...two 1/2" bolts. I know that 32CountStep also had some tweaking to do one one of the hangers, but that may have just been for the dual pipe setup...my single setup bolted right on with no issues.

are these magnaflow mufflers any different than what I get from my local muffler shop? I got a SIDO magnaflow and new pipes ran out the back with 3" tips for under 200.00

The mufflers are the same - you're basically paying for the design and development of the kit and the theoretical promised HP gains.

The muffler is not quite the same. Most shops carry/stock only the regular stainless, not the polished that is included in the kits. The kits also include mandrel bent stainless steel pipes and polished tips. Compare vs. the random muffler shop crunch bends, untested design, and aluminized pipes.

Yeah, I went to a couple local shops before I ordered yesterday and they couldn't touch the price and provide the madrel bends, the stainless pipe, and the muffler I wanted. I could of had a flowmaster muffler and tips welded in for $450 locally, but I have had many mufflers in my time and just love the sound of the Magnaflow over everything else. Plus, this is a bolt on system, which means I can unbolt it if I ever change my mind, no cutting pipe to remove it.

www.performancepeddler. com

Go to there website, and do a search for mag16518 and you will see a very similar price. You can do this for most magnaflow part numbers (couldn't find a couple). Way better prices than anywhere else.

Enjoy,
Greg

And then you can sell it to me for cheap.

LOL, you should of been around when I had my last truck. I was changing exhaust like I was changing underwear until I found the right set-up. Pretty sure I will like this, I have had a lot of Magnaflow in the past and have heard several sound clips and videos. I will recieve and install tomorrow.

Paid 9:00pm Monday, shipped Tuesday, Delivered this morning (Thursday)at 8:30 am, installed by 11:00 am (started at 10:30). Sounds so GOOOOOOD. Louder than my last set up before I put high flow cats with the 21" Maggie DIDO. No drone on the highway while cruising, you can hear it as the truck pulls it self up a hill, from a stop light, you can really hear it. I like it, lets just hope the wife likes it, I think it is a little louder than I made sound like it was going to be when talking to her before I ordered it.

For all you 2010 F150's, this exhaust was orderd for a 2009 and it fit perfectly. I did'nt have to bend any hangers, remove any heat shields from the spare tire, NOTHING. Simply bolt on. The stock muffler is a little tricky as you have to turn it about 15deg CCW to take it out due to it having a little dowel like pin at the connection. I cut the tail pipe off as the whole assembly while laying on my back was quite combersome to work with. Once I cut it, it slid right out.

I will get some pictures tonight.

Wow that's a great deal! I paid $420 for my flowmaster kit and still had to install/weld it myself.

Now I am not knocking the price you payed-but it is not that hard to find a shop that mandrel bends, and uses stainless steel pipe.
