AS leveling kit - 2" or 2.5"

I was planning to get the 2.5 and swap my block in the rear for the 3" from ReadyLift. I pull a boat often and want the back a little higher so it doesn't look squatted with the boat.

I have a shop with all the tools and will do it myself; however, I don't have a spring compressor and have read and seen the pics of the 2.5" not fitting. Has anyone verified that the 2" will go back in without compressing the spring?

I read the 09's have 1.5" instead of 2" blocks in the rear so the 3" block would actually add 1.5" - true????

Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm going to put 305/55 r20 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's on my stock 20's and see how I like it. If I don't like it, I'll buy some Moto 957's.

I have a 2.5 on my FX4 and damn near dead level. Every truck will have a different stance and as such, the 2" will work better for some. I didn't compress the spring - just took the hub loose. Just hang the brake lines!

I have the AS 2" on my FX4 and its sits just about right. I took it to a shop to have it installed and Im glad I did, they had hell getting it in there. Wound up having to take the half shafts off to get it to go back in. It was the first 09 they had done and said it wouldn't be very cheap for the next person.

I went with the 2" AS on my truck and it was slightly higher in the front. For some reason, the truck was lifted almost 2 3/4" using the smaller lift. I also recommend the 3" ReadyLift blocks because they have the factory bump stops, unlike most of the others. I paid $130 at AutoAnything which included a free shipping deal at the time.

How come?

You may be able to order from the manufacturer without going through their eBay store - it's worth a call.

The 09 4x4s with the 4 leaf pack have a 1.25" block. I recently lifted my rear and measured them while they were out. My 3" blocks raised the truck's rear 1.75", as expected. I am not sure if the 3 leaf trucks use the same block or not.

I just ordered AS2.5" for front, AS 3" blocks for rear, XD Addicts in black/machined 20X9, 18mm, and nitto trail grappler M/Ts in 305/55/20.

Anyone have some thought on what a shop should charge in labor to install the 2.5" kit in the front, install the blocks in the rear, move the TPMS sensors from stock wheels, mount, balance, and install the new tires, and a 4 wheel allignment?

I got a quote for $600. Seems a little high to me. I can do the lift in my shop, just not sure I'll have time for a while.
