Don't the Platinums come with glossy B-Pillars? I thought I read that they did. If so can't you just give them a vin number from any platinum and then they should be able to get the right B-Pillars?

That's what I originally told them...that I wanted the ones that come on the Platinum model. I said that again yesterday when I sent them an e-mail. We'll see what they say today.

Hey Brain Donor I just checked out the glossy b pillar trim pieces on my 09' Platinum and they DO wrap around the rear edge of the driver's b pillar. So perhaps Tasca has been sending you the correct parts all along? I bet they'll work just fine - I'd go ahead and install them. This takes me back to when I first ordered the glossy b pillar trim pieces for my '05 and I was telling my dealer that I was surprised that Ford would put the ulgy flat ones on a top end Lariat. His answer at the time was the reason Ford started using the flat ones was because they had so many warranty claims on the '04's (that did have the glossy b-pillar trim) due to the trim piece discoloring along the rear edge. So my (theory) is that Ford redesigned the glossy trim piece to keep the rear edge from discoloring over time....good luck!!!

Thanks, HotLap. I've sent them a new message regarding just replacing the rear door pillars, since they weren't glossy.

BD - it's been a hassle I know - but you are going to like the results once you change them out - ESPECIALLY on a black truck...those flat b-pillars really look bad on a black truck (that's what color my '05 was)

Maybe I missed it but which ones did you end up using then? Can you post the correct 4 part numbers.

Actually, I ended up using a mixed set. After talking to Domenic at Tasca, he ended up sending back to me the rear pieces from 05's that I had returned. Call Tasca and talk to Domenic. The parts I ended up using are below.

6L3Z1520555ZA-LH(front)
5L3Z16255A34AA-RH(rear)
