SYNC Commands

I was hoping to find a complete list of SYNC commands on sycnmyride.com, but only found a couple quick start type guides - nothing with all the commands in one list.

In my search, I did find where someone on the Ford Fusion forum compiled a nice .pdf -

sync commands

Has anyone found a better list, or have anything to add?

Thought it would be nice to have a complete list printed out to leave in the truck.

That's a nice list! Thanks for sharing! I'm just now getting to explore all the options the sync has to offer... this will be a great start!

I dont think our version has half of the things that one does. I dont think our's will control the climate control will it? I dont have nav so I dont know about any of the NAV oriented commands and if ours will or will not do them.

Wow, that is an extensive list. I just did the syncmyride.com and discovered some new things. You can use the turn by turn I am pretty sure (at least it is an option on mine, haven't used it yet). I have got traffic updates and weather using mine and it knows my location so that is cool. I will try some of these today and report back. I don't have nav for the record.

if you have the nav and hit the voice command button on the steering wheel you will get a menu of commands on the screen

The list is for SYNC with NAV - should have specified that I guess -
All the commands work if you have the NAV

ibcop - the link is working for me - if you still can't open it, send me a PM and I can send it to you via email

Yes, this is true, but not all the commands are listed on-screen.

Turn by turn and traffic updates are only available in Sync 3.0, which is not available on the 2009's. The highest version of Sync on the 2009's is version 2.0, which supports VHR and 911 assist. Over on syncmyride.com, Mike, the SYNC-SOFTWARE guy said an upgrade for 2.0 might be out before the end of this year, 2009. If you have sync and haven't registered on syncmyride.com, by all means it's worth it. There is a lot of good info on the owner-to-owner forums over there.

Just did the syncmyride.com register. Does anyone know how to retrieve the VHR? I've done it in the truck, received the text, and went onto the website to retrieve the report. But when I click to retrieve it, it won't do anything.

I literally just got done looking at a vehicle health report. I had no problems with it. I ran it and then checked my email and then there was a link to the VHR. I logged in and it opened right up. It says it might take 25 seconds to open. Everything was fine, except for low fuel and in 3159 miles I am due for a service.

Snyc 2.0 doesn't have built-in gps so that's why the difference between 2.0 and 3.0 features. Without gps, turn-by-turn, traffic and weather can't work. Not sure how they're saying an upgrade would be available by end of year.

Interesting. The FAQ over on syncmyride.com says this:

FAQs

View more FAQ topics My SYNC doesn't have Traffic, Directions and Information; can I upgrade to get it?
No. Traffic, Directions and Information is a new service that runs on upgraded hardware; currently available only in select 2010 model vehicles in the United States only. Not available in conjunction with Navigation Systems.
