I have to wait until August when I get back to the states to install the leveling kit on my new truck (bought it in January then came back to Iraq). My wife swears she doesn't see the rake of the truck. I think she'll notice when it sits 2 inches higher up front and looks level.
I do plan to use my truck for towing and hauling occassionally, but mostly for taking my dogs places (have a bed cap) and hunting, wheeling, etc. I think the front ground clearance is too low. For 80 bucks, I can't justify NOT increasing my clearance. Without the extra couple inches, I know I'll smash something. And I think it does look better too.

to those of you with leveling kits already on your truck...on a scale of 1 to 10...10 being worst, how much rougher of a ride is it after you put it on? just curious if i wanna lift it or just make a sleeper out of it and put a programmer on it.

There is no difference in ride. I went with the AS 1.5", anything more and it will be nose high. I think the new body style ('09+) doesn't need as much to level it. I traded a '06 FX4 Screw for a '10 FX4 Screw and my previous truck needed a 2" kit to level it. Just my observations.

Just put a 2" AS leveling kit on the the front and add a leaf springs in the rear on my 2010 and I think it rides better. Takes alot of the sway out.

Before and after pics of 2" as front spacer and 2" rear as add a leaf. Just ordered 295-70-18's today hope they fit. As for the leveling kit I love it so far, rides more stable now.

I went with the 2 inch AS in the front and found that it sat nose high. I ended up puting a block spacer in the back to level it out. If you are going stock tires I would consider a 1.5 front and possibly a rear block if you still find it high. REally they should have a 1 inch front spacer for people who want to level it out and still have the stock tire look.

Here is an after picture with 2 inch in the front and 2.5 inch pro comp replacement in the back. The 2.5 replaced a stock block that I figured was about 1.5 inches so overall it raised the back about an inch.

Daystar makes a 1" kit, I installed one on my old 2004 FX4 Crew.

P.S. This is my first post so I thought I would say hello. My current truck is a 2010 F150 XLT Chrome Pkg. 4.6 3v 2wd. Also have a 72 Bronco in a million pieces. Names Dan and no I don't work for Daystar.

amitchell,

How did the rear AAL affect the ride? I've got the same configuration as you (but not King Ranch) and my front/rear Autospring kit should be delivered today and I can't wait. Nice looking truck!
