Anyone running front adjustable coilovers?

Wondering if anyone is running some aftermarket coilovers to ahcieve a little lift. Do you have any issues with bad angles on your upper A arms? Please post some pics. I am thinking of going the KING suspension route.

Thanks!

King is a hell of a suspension, so is Icon and Fox. If you want great customer service and have any questions answered, call Dylan Evans at Icon.

Would running an adjustable coilover cause bad angles on my Upper A-Arms and CV Boots? I ran spacers for like a week and it caused the upper A-Arms to hit my stock coils over any little bumps. I don't want any problems like before lol.

I can't say since I'm new to the truck as well, but I understand your concern. I would imagine lifting 3" wouldn't do too much harm.

I just looked on Icon's website and didn't see anything available for the '09 yet, but I'm sure Dylan would be able to say if something was on the horizon. They do already have a section set up just for the '09.

I also looked on Fox's site and didn't see anything yet either. Guess development on the Raptor shocks have been the primary objective right now. Looks like your choice of King's is your only option right now. And it's definitely not a bad one. King shocks are amazing.

I am going to make a call to KING and see how there R&D went on the new F-150. Don't want to pull the trigger on something so expensive to find problems out later.

being that the coils on a coil over setup will be a smaller diameter, it shouldnt hit but your ball joint angles may be in danger

Might need to upgrade the UCA's once total chaos develops them. This is one pricey truck lol. My old taco was so cheap to get a 3" lift and it replaced the coils and shocks.

Careful with the uniball construction on those TCs. They're great, but they can get grit and dirt in there. I've heard 'Yota guys using them will periodically put some graphite lube on them so they don't seize up. Finding components like these are easier for Tacos and FJs than it would be for an F150 though.

Ugh... sounds like a pricey item and sensitive. Ok were possibly just going to stay stock lol. I wonder if Camburg UCA's have this issue too?
