09-10 Trailer Harness Question

Does anyone know if the new F-150 middle pin/auxiliary power pin of the seven pin wiring harness has power going to it?

I ask because my box trailer has overhead lights that run off auxiliary power. My 1998 Expedition's auxiliary pin is not wired hot and I never got around to wiring it.

TIA

it does but you may have to put the fuse and relay in the battery junction box at the fron of the truck under the hood. both pieces should be in your glove box door pocket.

Thanks Deano. When I pick up my truck in December and there is the fuse and relay in the glove box door pocket waiting for me to install it to make the system work I will be even more impressed with Ford than I already am.

what i would do is bust out your owners manual and look in the fuse and relay section under battery junction box, and then look in the box and see if they are missing, the dealer may have put them in.

just so you know there will be a red battery cable connected to the battery junction box, the trail tow relay battery charge should be at the end of the row of relays from the red cable, 9th position.

if they aren't there go back to your dealer and ask for them, because you paid for them when you bought the truck and should have been left in the truck.
