I sold my 04 XLT over 2 years ago and my 95 F150 last year.

Today I bought a 09 RC 4x2 XL. Its pretty basic, I got the trailer tow package and cruise, thats about it. White with a gray interior. I live about 6 miles from work and ride my motorcycle weather permitting, my wife has a Solstice, so the truck is just for the times we need to carry something or the weather isnt cooperating. Last year I got about 10 months out of the bike.

19k OTD, that was with all fees and sales tax.

Feels good to be back in an F150

I want to do a few mods to improve the appearence without busting the bank or spending so much I would have been better off with an XLT.

As far as the interior and the performance Im happy the way things are, no mods planned there.

1. Will 04-08 wheels fit? What about the tire sensors? 04-08 new takeoffs are around $700 for the 18in tire/wheel pakage. Anyone seen 09 new takeoffs anywhere?

2. Im going to paint the bumpers body color. Any pics of painted grills? Any inexpensive options for a better looking grill?

3. Does Ford have a manual trailer tow mirror for the F150?

I read the last 20 pages of this forum, lots of interesting info.

 

I would start by robing some interior out of one at the junk yard. will give you a great start. and usually, at least down hear, they let seats and trim go for pretty cheap! congrats, and good luck!!
