Interesting points re: f150
- 5.4L survives and is "improved".
- 6.2 gets better mpg w/6 speed vs. 5.4 w/5 speed.
- A pillar handle still there, but F150 can't have one?

Power outlet on rear of center console above 12V outlet, 4 cupholders or large bin or half bin w/2 cupholders (whatever you want/need), large message center in w/gauge cluster, continued upfitter switches from '08MY, some cool stuff. Interesting interior door handles... are those elephant mirrors power fold yet?
I still see no sign of LED's in tails/heads/etc. Still scared of 'em, eh FMC? It's ok, it's ookkaayy... don't be afraid, they are cheap nowadays and they draw a LOT less electrical power, something you'd think would pop up on a SuperDuty first as it'd increase utility for other items hooked up to a work truck. There, there FMC, someday you'll be old enough to play with LED's... I was surprised not to see them in '04, and now it's '11 and still none... shhh, 'lil baby FoMoCo, 'tis ok to go play with your halogens some more, daddy will show you LED's when you're a big boy...
I like to check out all new Ford vehicles, just to see what future innovations may make it into the 150. So far Ford is still having a heck of a time getting upfitter switches as an option on the 150, but we can still hold out hope I suppose. Rear window w/defrost happened, and bigger brakes w/less dust, so those are very positive signs. Let's hope we see upfitter switches and remote started heated seats soon.
Did they make the flat load floor like the 150? I'd suppose so. Every vehicle Ford comes out with I try to check out to see what may pop up in a future 150.
Strange they did this after only 3 years of the current model. Makes you wonder when the '09MY F-150 will be thrown out for something new again...
EDIT: Almost forgot! Did they finally add a USB connection inside the center console???

5.4 is now gone....
Update #1 September-25-2009 01:29 PDT:
The original story stated that Ford would continue to offer the 5.4-liter V-8 gas engine. That was incorrect. The existing 6.8-liter V-10 and new 6.2-liter V-8 will be the only petrol motors available for 2011 F-Series Super Duty trucks, depending on whether they are a pickup or a commercial chassis cab. I regret and apologize for the error. - Mike Levine

Overall, the styling looks like a winner to me. But, it really would have been great for Ford to redesign the tail lights. The 4x4 sticker is HORRIBLE!
This is the 1st diesel engine Ford has designed and built. Naturally, I'm a bit apprehensive to be the tester of new technology in the real world so I'll wait and watch as others enjoy the new diesel engine.
Ford has a winner on their hands, especially if the interior is whisper quiet like in the F150 in operation.
