Just a thought....arent the bilstein struts going to do the exact same thing to your truck? raising the front, increasing the angle of your A arm, bringing it closer to your coil springs and potentially coming in contact with it at full extention?

That is what I thought but no its not the same. The spacer extends the actual total length of the strut. As the bilstein's preload the coil to get the height. IMO it sounds the same and I don't understand it either but thats what everybody tells me.

It sure will. Bilsteins will fix nothing, infact make it worse.

Slim were your spacers offset? It is very visible to the naked eye. I think the autospring instructions say it is impossible to install the spacers incorrectly.

Also the traction control issue is related to the larger tires only, not the lift.

It sounds like you've already sent the spacers back, but you could have re-checked all the bolts/nuts you loosened to install them. Mine started rubbing pretty badly like yours about a week after I installed them. It got so bad that the truck almost seemed to jump or skid a little bit when I went around a corner and hit a bump at the same time. There was a lot of noise, even when I backed out of my driveway into the street. I re-tightened everything because I noticed one of the bolts holding the front sway bar on was pretty loose, and that seemed to resolve the issues. No more rubbing, no more noises. I have a 2005, but still probably worth it.

Actually the larger tires had nothing to do with it since I have been running the bigger tires prior to the AS with no problems. It clearly is the A-Arms hitting the coils around turns etc that caused the traction control to assume that vibration was a tire slipping.

The kit looked pretty square to me no offset at all. They claimed to not make a non offset kit but when they get it back in the mail they'll see that they must have made only 1 lol.

I can't disagree about the 5100's because I don't know. All I know is that I ran the 5100's on my old Tacoma with 0 problems.

I hate how a buddy of mine has a Tundra and just installed a 3" spacer kit and his A-Arms are more parallel then mine with no spacers!

I'm pretty sure I have the same problem. It happens whenever I make a turn and hit a ditch a little on the fast side. It makes a little gumbling/growling noise. It sounds like the traction control is kicking in, but I'm not sure if the little icon comes on at the same time. I only started noticing it after I installed my 2" autospring leveling kit.

Does everybody else's traction control make an annoying sound when it comes on?

For some reason you and me seem to be the lonely few. If you have some time take a look at your coils and see if there are any marks from the upper a arms hitting them. I noticed the traction control only came on when the coils came in contact with the upper a arms fooling the system to believe that the vibration it was feeling was my tires.

On my 05 after I installed the 2.5" kit I noticed some marks on the coils from the upper A-arm. If I was parked and jacked the wheel full tilt either way it would actually lean because of it. I NEVER had a problem on the road. The 05 also didn't have traction control or RSC. Don't ya love technology???

Nope, your not the only ones. Mine does it on the fast side when I hit a bump, or am pulling into an elevated driveway. I am sure it is the ABS, as it is the growling pulsating feel of the brakes doing a quick pump. I was thinking going to the 1.5's might help, as mine actually sits nose high with 2".

Anyone figure out what might be going on, and how to fix this. As of now, it has just been annoying, but I am fearful of when I start hauling a boat.

Just installed the AS 2" yesterday. One had a "Driver Side" label stuck on top. There is a noticable offset if you're looking for it. If bolted on the correct side, they'll only go in one way because of the studs being offest. Sounds like they were just installed on the wrong side. "Just" have to do it all again....sorry.

This ABS craps is what I had going on also. But mine was so extreme it would go on as I would enter an onramp to the freeway. The onramps that are a big loop. It almost made me drive straight before it would stop the vibration growl noise. Not very safe IMO. I am waiting for a correct level kit to come out. Something that involves new shocks and maybe A-Arms.

I just did the AS 2.5 and they are marked for side. That's for sure.

Yea this is what I had in my 08 Taco with no problems. But the taco didn't have all this roll stability etc.

I might go the 5100 route and see how they react.
