DIY: Instrument Panel Removal

Hey! I just got a new 09 XLT screw and I want to install an amp but I just want to make sure what the best way to remove the instrument panel is, I don't want to break or loosen any clips.

Also can anybody tell me if I can run the wires down without taking off any panels? I know I probably can't but if I can that'll be great.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

- Matt

I'm in the process of installing amateur radio stuff. The tray on the top of the dash can easily be removed .under the top of the dash you can pass wires from one side of the dash to the other. I haven't checked for sure but I think you can pass wires from the top of the dash to the bottom just on the sided of the main instrument panel.

Thanks for the reply. I think I may be getting my terminology mixed up. I don't want to remove the entire thing, just the front panel where all the buttons and stereo is.

I want to get to the back to install an amp.
