Smile 2009 Super Duty Alarm System Issue

is the anti theft system automatically activated at the factory or do i as the owner have to have a code of some kind or otherwise to activate it?? There is a sensor that is supposed to flciker every 2 secs the first 10 secs it is engaged and this is not happening on the vehicle which would lead me to believe the system is not working...can someone advise??

Thanks

First, I'd start by reading, this is the 09-10 F-150 forum. Superduties is below.

What trim level do you have on your truck. Not all Superduties come with that feature.

P.S. if they're gonna get your truck they'll get it. That factory anti-theft device will take a whole extra one second to get around.

the pats theft light light (red lock symbol) should flash in the cluster. its always on its no a on/off system.

now the factory alarm is only turn on by the RKE fob, RKE pad, or locking the doors with door swicth, it can not be deactivated either.
