O9 FX4 wheel advise.

Hello All,

I am a longtime ford owner , 3 time f150 owner and new member of this forum. I just traded my 06 fx4 for 09 fx4 loaded w/ nav, It is sterling grey and is about to go in for some work . I plan on doing a 3" leveling kit, nfab nerf bars and kmc rims and have not decided which tires yet. My question is what rim will look and drive better ...18" or 20" ....kmc revolver is the rim of choice...any and all feedback is appreciated!!

I have read bad things about the 3" leveling kits. Do a search. Besides I have a 2" kit and still got 35s under it. The revolver rim is pretty cool looking. The only thing is all I could find had a negative offset. If so, 33s are probably all you will be able to squeeze under your ride.

got any pics of the truck? KMC has alot of good looking rims, so a pic would help unless you already had something in mind. As for the ride with an 18" or 20" i never noticed a difference from oe 18's to aftermarket 20's. I say 20's!! I'm still waiting on someone to slap some meaty tires on the new style 20's that come on the 09 FX4's

Thanks for the advise on the 3" level...I like the setup you have so I will probably go that route.....my installer is pushing me in the 20 direction but I think I may go 18" with 35's...just looks a little more solid than the 20"'s but I have changed my mind about 10 times when finding this truck...from color to lariat of fx4....thankfully I stuck with the fx4...the new ones are really solid...ford really did a great job!!
