Paint on hood cracking?
It looks like the paint on my hood is cracking in alot of spots... well it's sort of like irregular circles with jagged edges all over the hood... it's almost like paint is ready to flake . biggest one noticed is about 1/2inch wide x 1inch long ... they all range in size... never had this problem on my 06 these trucks have aluminium hoods right ? no pics since I'm at work but i'll get them up this weekend... BTW it's not stand-out noticable but in the sun light at certain angles it's noticeable?
I just picked up a Police Cruiser today that we dropped off last week for peeling paint on the trunk, one on the hood the week before! All fixed under warranty!!! BTW great work Tasca Ford!..............

I'm hoping it's just a fluke, and not something specific to stone green trucks....

well I have it going in next tuesday .. I tried to take pics but I couldn't get it to show .. it's almost like water spots.. my friend who knows a bit about cars says it's the clearcoat ... I'll find out more next week...
I have the same problem on my 09 Platinum. Looks like bad water spots. I noticed it the first time that I washed the truck, but i didn't say anything to the dealer until yesterday(that was stupid). The service writer said that she would submit the pictures she took of the hood and try to get my hood repainted. Man, I sure do hate to have a 6wk old truck painted on! I guess if they offer to do that, I'll either have to accept, or shut up. I don't guess I have any other options... Or Do I?
For example, the brushed aluminum pieces on my Platinum won't come clean with any type of chrome cleaner/wax/auto glass cleaner/anything that I have tried. But I discovered that just by washing and then quickly absorbing the water with a shammy makes the brushed aluminun pieces look great, no need for any type of treatment stuff at all since none of it does anything to make it look good. Just eliminate the water right away so no spotting happens. I realize this sounds like a fairly basic "Duh, of course use a shammy". But if you don't get to some spots with a shammy before the water dries on your paint, the coat of wax you put on always takes care of it. But not so for the brushed aluminum pieces, nothing works on them. So an immediate shammy after wash keeps those pieces looking great.
Good question, could be something to look into.

Go to Home Depot and get some Stainless Steel Cleaner designed for kitchens, it will be in the area for home cleaning supplies. Its in an aerosol can and is citrus based(usually). Spray it on a rag and then wipe the stainless clean. The citrus really cleans up the stainless, only thing I have found to get stainless really clean and keep it protected.
