They're expecting 150 out of the turbos, not the whole motor.

ford is doing what they call plug in plug out engines... not that expensive to replace an engine...
also if they would apply the technology to gas that they have to diesels ( like direct injection, forced induction, ect).. the gas engines would have better torque and hp numbers... hmmm sounds like an ecoboost. which is also in the taurus in 2010.
my biggest complaint is I want a manual tranny..

Diesel is about 10-15 cents a liter cheaper here in Ontario than gasoline. That is about 40 cents per gallon less.

Ford has the v6 diesel ready to go, its the same one that is in our new cab over transport truck, so its all dollars and sense whether it comes out or not.
The diesel that is NEARLY ready is a 4.4L V8. It is not the same as the V6 made by Navistar that is in the LCF. Ford has severed its ties with Navistar for supplying engines, and the LCF is dead as well. Will we see it in the future? I think so. Will it be in the F150? We can hope...

Yeah... a ZF6 would compliment a nice diesel engine in the F150.

It would bring out some sick numbers.

I was watching this video... sick.... I'd love to have a new 6.4l F250 either reg cab or scab (short bed obviously) with a 6 speed manual with a SB Dual Disk Clutch.

Well, we better hurry it up before Ford decides to kill stick shift... entirely.

I've been dawdling the idea of getting a new 6.4 F250 diesel 6 speed scab 4x4 short bed and using it as a plow truck for my house... instead of getting a tractor. However, they are just too dang expensive, and getting a tractor would be cheaper in the long run though... plus I can do way more with it.
