I can't say that makes ME feel a lot better, but good for you!
I don't believe that getting my truck here is the problem, it is getting it built that is the problem.

I have tried that. They would not search past their region and the truck I want could not be found. So part of this is my fault for not settling on what is available. But I am not going to spend the money on a truck that isnt exactly what I want. I have spent countless hours searching inventories and dont have any energy left to try again. I am not sure I can even get steamed about it again! If the truck shows up - great! If not - time to move on to something else.

Your dealer is full of it. We (DTP) are still cranking out over 1000 trucks a day. MTP (Michigan truck plant) use to make the Expidition/Navigator, they are being re-tooled to make cars. The only reason I see your truck coming from K.C. is that it was ordered so close to the cutoff date and DTP (Dearborn truck plant) is launching the 10's before K.C.

I have to agree with Derek. Your dealer is not telling you the truth. DTP and KC are both building 1000+ per day. KC will not start building 2010's until late August.

Woodeye,

I went online lookig for about the same truck:
"Lariat Screw 4x4, 5'5", Tri-Sand W/ Latiat Plus and full Chrome pkg. & power equip pkg.
floor mats, Sony 6-disk sound system Leather Captain chairs & Camel int. Remote start
Didn't want the moon roof or power rear window, and couldn't justify the Nav. system, but pretty much a full boat otherwise."

The closest Ford dealer to my house had one on the lot, actually two, but I think one sold today. Ford credit approved as well as my wife. I have to sell one of my two F-150s. But I think I will buy it in the morning. I do like that Tri Sand. My 2004 is dark shadow gray and my 1999 is red.

The Nav system may be the best enhancement of this redesign. Once you have it and use it for a while, then you'll understand. This unit is not a built in Garmin, it is much more than that.

Nope. From what I have heard they will be built in K.C. They get some exclusives and we get some exclusives. Keeps everyone happy. I'm kind of out of the loop now...No longer on the launch team...Long story.

Holy Crapoly! My truck has been built!! Supposed to be delivered on the 29th. Now thinking positive that it will show up on the 29th - what a relief it will finally be to have it here!

Mine is being built this week, too. ETA on the 29th. I think this ETA is the week starting the 29th. I'm trying to close before the end of the month.
Do you know your VIN, mine is KC70645. Yours should be pretty close to this number.

I think you're dealer is a tool... DTP (goofed in the earlier post and said MTP) is still making trucks. After touring it late last year and getting to walk the line (not the standard Rouge tour -- this was all access with no limits), I can tell you... DTP is *very* impressive.

Expy and Navi are now at KTP (Kentucky Truck Plant -- Home of the Super Duty and now the Navigator and Expy!)

Enjoy your new ride! It sounds like it's close!
