Driving to work today I had issues with my ipod. It would play for 30 secs and freeze up. I disconnected it plugged it back in and it was still frozen. I also could not select any media it kept bouncing to fm radio. I turned the radio off for a few and turned it back on as well as reset the ipod and it played for 30 secs again and froze. I have the Sony premium with nav. I was just the dealer on Mon for the trans update. Anyone else have issues with the radio or ipod.

 

What Ipod do you have, I have heard of some problems with sync and the ipod touches. Also try resetting your ipod.

 

Whatever slim ipod that was out last summer. I did reset it and still freaks out.

Well heres my sync update: I have no Sync. It does not recognize Usb port or phone. I pulled the fuse for Sync hoping for a reset and no luck. I have no USB, Phone, Jukebox usage. I guess its going to be a trip to the dealer to get it fixed unless someone knows some tricks or secrets!!!!

 

My iPod touch kept crashing my sync in the 09 Fx4 I test drove for a day. Nothing seemed to clear the issues.

 

find out your specific version of Ipod and check the syncmyride.com website. You may need a firmware update on the ipod.

I think sync can be updated too, but I have not looked into that yet.

I run a 60gig standard ipod with no problems.

 

Its gonna be a trip to the dealer. Im locked out of Sync, usb ports dont work and I cant reset it so I guess thats where im going Monday!!!!

 

I was able to get the truck to the dealer today to have the Stereo/Sync looked at. The Synce module went bad, new ones on order. Should have it in a day or two.

 

My truck is not even two weeks old yet and I am getting a bad feeling about Sync. Suddenly yesterday it started not recognizing names that I have frequently used in the past. Even when telling it just the first name it did not give me that name as an option.

I asked it to call Jerry and it started listing all the names in my address book under Barry. Jerry wasn't even an option. I must have called Jerry 10 times in the near two weeks since I have had it and there was never an issue. I tried it with windows up & down.. A/C on and off (I figured the wind and/or blower noise may have created the problem)

Anyone have a similar sync issue to that?

 

I had the same problem as well then it finially quit. Make sure your your software is up to date. I found out my truck was version 1.1 and there is 1.2 and 1.3 to patch Sync. The dealer is installing the new sync module tomorrow Ill post how I made out!!

 

Well Sync is now fixed. The dealer had to replace the Sync module with a new one. Its all up to date and works great again. The Service Tech said that I was the second one to have it replaced in a 2 week time span on the F150, he also said they had usb port/faceplate go bad on a few as well. I keeping my fingers crossed.
