Tranny Studder

DOes anyone have a studder problem in Reverse? It feels/sound the same as if you were taking off and had rear end hop(but thats not it )

If i shift from D to R and then give it gas it does this. doesn't happen all the time and sometimes happens even if a wait 4-5secs then hit the gas...?

I know of the problem you wrote. A Plat I was interested in buying suffered the same problem. It seemed the engine spun freely for a second or two and then slammed into reverse with the feeling the rear end wanted to lift. The jerking was too severe for comfort.

Althought it feels like a mechanical problem, try the transmission re-flash (TSB) and see if it solves the problem.

Mine has done the same thing a couple of times. I've learned to just give it an extra second when putting in reverse to make sure it's engaged. Seems like an ever so slight to delay after you shift to R.

same here in my plat. I just give it a second before I step on it. Hope the TSB will address it.
