The New Black
...black is the new black. Ford has created a new, industry-leading pigment named Tuxedo Black that will launch on the all-new Lincoln MKS flagship sedan. This deep metallic, like a set of jewels, isn’t an ordinary metallic that is composed of mica flakes but instead has a new flake derived from glass. Because this glass pigment radiates such a beautiful sparkle, less of this special flake has to be added, providing a black that glistens like never before.

The new black sounds like a winner to me.

There were a lot of changes from 2009. More than I would have imagined. FINALLY they added new 7 lug wheels and added back the limited slip to the Heavy Duty trucks. The new braking system looks interesting.

Upgraded brake system: New rotors, front calipers, master cylinder, brake booster, and linings. Improved brake feel, reduced stopping distance, reduced brake dust

Then next year, all the new engines. It is going to be a tough choice between the new Super Duty and the F-150 in MY 2011.

Seems like they ain't messing about. The only things the F150's have that they really do need to be better than the rest in every field is the 6.2 and new braking system. The other brands ain't going to be able to touch the f150 on 1 test soon. Ambient lighting sounds like it may be a possible upgrade to my 09. Good to see the platinum has Sony audio as standard now. Pay all that money for a truck and have basic audio package. Looks like the raptor is going to be about the price of the platinum fully loaded. Wonder if we will see any rebates and incentives for that model? Cant see them selling many with the 5.4 in it though. Why have a all out beast truck and get the 5.4 when in another year they will have a 6.2 option. Might as well wait.

aww man, heated rear seats and power sliding rear defrost for the Platinum...oh well.

Looks like they added stuff just like the 04-08 truck, like the FX2, and now they will have the billet grilles for the XLT and Lariat chrome package.

In my mind, a lot of this is marketing. Each new model year is going to have a couple new features that the previous model year didn't. This helps sell trucks. I would bet that through the course of the '04-'08 series, the little additions of goodies to be added to each model year was set in stone before the first '04 rolled off the line.

I know what you are saying Steve - I saw that the brake controller is now standard with the max tow package (duh), and also that the display for the controller will now be in the cluster - a very nice little feature that I will just have to do without......

yeah, there's always going to be minor changes each year I guess.

revised brakes with reduced dust...hopefully they are better, I already changed my 09 front pads out because of the dust, just like I did on my old 04 truck.

I still aint got any issue with brake dust. Aint cleaned my truck in over 500 miles and there was def a lot of brake dust on the wheel but it all come of when i pressure washed it. I then only have to wipe the excess water of the wheel and they are perfect. I think it's more do do with what wheel you have ore than what brakes.

Did Ford decide to carry over that huge opening in the front bumper for 2010? My guess was they would have covered that huge opening with a grill in 2010.

When I first noticed that opening, I thought the same thing.

I think I am going to do the gutter screen mod on mine for the time being.

Normally, I don't run with a front tag. BUT, after seeing that huge gash in the bumper, I kept the front license plate holder. I too will cover up the remaining opening with the gutter screen mod.
