Does anyone know how to remove the plastic trim piece to access the storage bin to install the brake contoller on a FX4 with a center console so that the controller can be installed as if it were done by factory?

Everywhere I look I can only find videos/directions to do so when there is no center console.

 

Pretty much you just pull on the gray part on the driverside of the stereo hard enough that it comes loose but not hard enough that it breaks.
