SYNC and Satellite Radio Question

My 2009 F150 didnt come with SYNC installed. Can it be installed post sale at the dealership? Does anyone know? Also if you had a choice of having SAT Radio installed to work with the factory unit or buy an aftermarket unit which way would you go and what are the pros and cons of both. Thanks for any help you can give

Seems you have a factory head unit (ie. not the Sony upgrade). If it was me, I would drop the factory radio in a heartbeat and install an aftermarket unit that has the features you want - satellite radio, bluetooth and usb. Check for voice recognition on the aftermarket unit and adapter for steering wheel buttons (assuming you have radio control buttons on the steering wheel). Throw in a sub and you should be good to go. This maybe a better setup than converting over to a MS sync system.

Yes, if I didn't already have the Sync, I'd drop the factory HU in a heartbeat for an aftermarket. Easier to add other features you may want like XM or even maybe a HU with a video monitor.
