Rear seat removal.

Putting on my Wet Okole seat covers, directions are useless. That I can see, there should be a way to tilt the rear seat back portion forward, without completely removing the seat.It says to pull up on the latch release behind the rearseat to tilt them forward, but I can't get anything to move.Has anyone done this yet. There is a post somewhere on the site, but it to mentions about pulling up on the latch to tilt the seat forward.

The latch is on the passenger side of the mount. I posted a diagram on how to remove the seats earlier, but will repost for you here. You have to remove the bolts in the floor to get it to come forward. 18mm bolts to the deck and a size 50 star driver to loosen the bolts between the seats.

blk- Thanks but I already have that printout,I do not want to remove the seats, I just want to pivot the back portion forward enough so I can get my hands behind to put on the seat covers.

I took my seat out Friday afternoon, and put it back in yesterday. I may be wrong, but I don't believe it is possible to tilt the back portion forward without removing the bolts from the deck. It's not a bad process, once you get the hang of it. I'm not finished behind the seat, but I put it back last night because I got tired of the other seat rattling. You also have the bracket on the back of the seat to work around, so IMHO, your seat covers will go on a lot easier if you pull the seats out. Good luck and put up some pics when you get the Okole's on. Love to see how it looks.
