Crew Cab space behind rear seat?

I know that when you fold up the rear seat the backrest falls backwards down into the cavity behind the seat. Does anyone know if there is enough space behind the seat for an amplifier, if mounted down low on the wall. Thanks.

i havent seen them, but im sure there is. I have my amps mounted behind the rear seat of my 07, as do many people. So im pretty sure there will be room. Now may how much room someone could chime in...room enough for 2 TW5's?

How do those sound, I have yet to hear them? I was thinking enough for JL HD amps so I can throw 2 8w7s under the seat.

I too will be mounting an amp on the back wall.

Diddy, can you shed some light on the quickest way to disassemble the back seat and the door panels?

Thanks

the best way to access the back panel is to unbolt the back seats from the floor. It takes a bit to get all the bolts out, but once you have those out, the seats should slide right out. Without looking, i believe there are about 8 bolts that hold those seats down.

Cant help you on the door panels...

As far as pics of the install, id have to unbolt the seats which is a PTA. I didnt have the installer take any pics but i saw when the truck was apart how they were mounted on the back wall.

Rear seat removal (40)

I downloaded the pdf's for removal of rear seat in 2009 F150.
However, I cannot get the backrest latch to release! Won't budge. Not sure what I'm doing wrong... I was able to release the 4 bolts that mount the seat to the floor of the cab, in hopes it would loosen the entire assembly, making the seat backrest latch easier to release. Nope. The instructions are excellent, but neither of my rear backrest latches will release. Holding firm.

Any suggestions much appreciated!
