They're bulbs that have a "chrome" or silver finish to them, but they light up amber just like regular turn signal/parking lights. Replacing the stock bulbs with these gets rid of that fried egg look during the daytime. I've been planning to do this mod since I got my FX4, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Here's an example, but you can get them MUCH cheaper:

I'm pretty partial to the 97-03s but you had a great truck, and still do!!

With the exception of th ebug shield, that's one of the best looking earlier model trucks I've seen (no offense - just not a bug shield fan). The '09 already looks great and is going to look fantastic once you add your mods - congrats!!

Regarding those chrome bulbs...I just take the regular old amber bulbs and spray paint a silver metalic paint onto them. They will still light up orange but will look grey or silver. Its hard for me to tell from my phone, but is there any orange plastic that houses the bulbs?

Btw, great looking truck!

My old truck had a 3" body lift and 315/70/17 (34.5") tires on it. I ran both BFG Radial All Terrains and Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's.

The new truck has no lift 20" wheels and stock tires.............for now

Another gorgeous Platinum, congrats

I'm not fond of the big mirrors in general but they look very nice with the black

Congrats, looks good, another Platinum on the forum! My dealer had a black one and my white one, I just didn't want to deal with taking care of black.

You could always switch back to the regular mirrors if you want to. The only thing though is your truck may not be prewired with the power folding relay module, because no other trucks have been so far (at least the 04-08 trucks). But if there ever was a chance that it was now, it would definately be the Platinum since it comes standard with power folding mirrors.
