Tire sensor
go and make sure all your tires are set to the door sticker psi, if you have done that and driving doesn't turn the light out you need to take to the dealer and have them reset your tire pressure monitoring system there are special tools required to do it.
Thanks Deano-I had already made sure the tire pressures were correct, and then did the reset procedure, the sensor did not go off. Then I went for a 20 minute drive and it did. What I was initially concerned about is the Lariat message center asking me to individually train each tire, and in the manual it says that some vehicles come with a reset tire tool.
my wifes Grand Prix had a flat. When I took it to the tire store and they tried to remove the valve core they broke the valve stem right off. The darn valve stem was $95 to replace. Luckily they replaced it under warranty. I'd hate to think that everytime I get new tires I have to buy new valve stems at $95 a pop.
Are the ford sensors in the valve stem like the GM's ?

Interesting that they have gone back to the valve stem type.
That's really good that they went back to the valve stem. Now it won't cost an arm and a leg to do a wheel swap! When I wanted new wheels on my 07 Mustang, I had to pay to have my old wheels/tires separated to retrieve the sensors, buy new straps to put them on the new wheels, and re-program the sensors for the new tire pressure. HUGE PIA! I'd much rather swap valve cores myself and pay the dealer $50 or so to reprogram it.
