I wonder why Ford got rid of that black rubber weatherstripping strip along both edges of the roof of the truck, yet kept the two tiny bits of it on the rear of the cab?

I always forget to check up close, but it appears they also got rid of those skinny strips of rubber that were like in-between the doors on the 04-08's.

 

It's the one optimized for best mpg. It may stand for Special Fuel Edition, not positive though.

 

I believe it stands for "Superior Fuel Economy". From what I've found it can only be bought as an XL and XLT with the 4.6 and 4X2! Its advertised fuel efficiency 15 city and 21 highway
