I've always thought that the purpose off them is to keep bugs and rock chips off your truck because look bad. But when bug deflectors look bad themselves, why fix one unattractive problem by adding another? But if you do like the looks of them, I'm not one to tell people what looks good and what doesn't cause it comes down to personal taste, then go for it!
